After the Gorilla Trek, on arrival in Nairobi we met up with our fellow ‘Dream Team’ to become the Magnificent Migration 13 and wow, what a wonderful Migration Safari we had. We travelled from Nairobi across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru and enjoyed our first glimpse of life in Kenya, travelling through many towns filled with colourfully dressed locals going about this daily lives.

A small group aptly named the ‘Silverback Six’ flew with Emirates via Nairobi on to Kigali in Rwanda. The next morning we transferred by road across the Uganda border to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and our stunning accommodation at Trackers Safari Lodge. We all had to pinch ourselves as we looked out across the mist, hovering over the Rain Forest with the realisation that the following day we would be trekking into the natural habitat of the world-famous endangered Mountain Gorillas, only found here, in this remote corner of Uganda.

Next stop for me was Wrexham, Wales. For anyone who has watched the Netflix series Welcome to Wrexham, it was great to visit and see some of the locals and have a Wrexham beer at The Turf.

I was extremely fortunate to travel through the South of France with AMAWaterways on the beautiful AMAKristina for 7 nights travelling along the Rhone.

Having just returned from an amazing 3 weeks in Europe, a little break from the Ballarat Winter was exactly what I needed. Travelling with a friend, we covered 3 countries and numerous towns, but it was really lovely to not move too much, avoid packing and unpacking and slowing down to take it all in.

Over this past weekend - Alison, Penny, Renae and Simon travelled to Adelaide to attend the 2025 Express Travel Group conference. Throughout the 2 day event, the team connected with fellow travel professionals from around Australia whilst exploring current travel trends, listening to insightful speakers and boosting our travel know-how to gather fresh ideas for your future adventures.

My wife and I have just returned from a safe and enjoyable couple of weeks of summer sun in the East Coast of the USA.

I recently returned from an amazing famil with Viking, on their 7 night itinerary called Niagara & The Great Lakes. This was onboard their explorer ship, the Viking Polaris and we sailed from Milwaukee to Toronto. The Great Lakes are a series of interlocking freshwater lakes, and the largest inland lakes in the world. At times when sailing, there was no land to be seen, so it actually felt like you were at sea, but without the sea sickness with its calm waters.

I have recently returned from Europe with my daughter Sophie. Our first stop was Paris, before joining an AMA Waterways river cruise from Luxemburg to Nuremberg, we then travelled to Prague and Salzburg before flying home from Munich.

I recently spent time in Europe visiting our son in Vienna and took the opportunity to experience two amazing hotels that are part of the Virtuoso Hotels program in person and enjoyed the signature amenities of exclusive upgrades, breakfast, early check-in & late check-out plus food & beverage credits.
