There is so much to see, do and experience in beautiful Bali and my latest trip across the ocean had me spending 9 days travelling to Seminyak, Nusa Lembongan, Gili Islands and Ubud.
“Bali is known for its stunning sunrises and sunsets, so if you happen to be a morning person, waking up to catch the sun’s first rays and following it up with a yoga class is highly recommended.”
Whilst staying in touristy hot spots such as Kuta and Seminyak is always fun, I loved being able to get away from the main areas and explore more of the islands. One of the best experiences was doing a Marine Walk. I had the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor using an open-ended helmet that allowed me to stay underwater. It was fantastic being able to see the marine life and snorkel away from the tourist areas. If I was going back to Bali, I would definitely re-visit any of the islands!

Great food is aplenty, and I loved visiting Habitat Café in Ubud (why not try a Takesumi Black Charcoal Latte whilst you’re there too)! There is a Night Market in Gili Trawangan with great options, and if you happen to like satay chicken, you can’t go past Cendana Restaurant in Seminyak. Ultimo Italian restaurant in Seminyak is another one of my favourites. You won’t go hungry in Bali that’s for sure!
It’s a 3-way tie between seeing a turtle while snorkeling between Gili Trawangan and Gili Air, watching the sunrise and sunset on Gili Trawangan and Rooftop Yoga at sunset in Ubud.
My Top Tips for Anyone Thinking of Holidaying Here…
Get out of the main areas to the islands of Nusa Lembongan and the Gili Islands (once they rebuild/re-open from the earthquake), it is a completely different “Bali experience”
Don’t be worried about the food in Bali (getting Bali belly), there are plenty of great food options.
Pamper yourself while you’re in Bali. The prices are amazing so why not treat yourself at any of the day spas and get a massage or creme bath for your hair.
